Information Stored Locally on Your Device

ZenLock stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Accountability partner contact information (phone number/email) — stored in your device's local storage
• App preferences and settings — saved locally for app functionality
• Focus session schedules — stored locally on your device
• App whitelist preferences — saved locally for blocking functionality

Important: This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

SMS/Email Functionality

When you request an early unlock from your focus session:

• An SMS/Email is sent directly from your device to your accountability partner
• We do not store, access, or have any record of these SMS messages
• The SMS is sent using your device's standard messaging service

Permissions Used

ZenLock requests the following permissions for functionality:

• SMS Permission: To send unlock codes to your accountability partner
• Accessibility Service: To block apps during focus sessions
• Notifications: To alert you about focus sessions
• Boot Receiver: To restore scheduled sessions after device restart

These permissions are used solely for app functionality and do not involve data collection.

Third-Party Services

ZenLock does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device:

• Your information is as secure as your device
• We recommend using device security features (screen lock, encryption)
• Uninstalling the app removes all stored data

Children's Privacy

ZenLock is suitable for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for children's data.
